This is the personal web page of Martijn van Zal, a 29 year old software engineer, co-owner and CTO of a new media company called Brothers in art. We specialize in large scale online communities using highly scalable and mostly open source technologies like Linux (Ubuntu/Redhat), Apache, PHP, MySQL, Memcached, MogileFS. I like experimenting with and working with services as Amazon EC2 and S3, Encoding.com and I'm currently learning to create iPhone/iPad apps.
